As an example, our local Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 1/2 and Counterstrike servers are all VAC protected servers and they are squeeky clean. I have NEVER seen a hacker in TF2 and L4D 1/2, I have seen two hackers in Counterstrike (over a couple years) and they both were dealt with swiftly. Those servers are clean because the iron fist admins keep it that way. By the same token our COD 4 and Battlefield servers are also clean and they are protected by Punkbuster.
My point is, MW2 is getting the shit hacked out of it because there is just no good old fashioned human intervention and banhammer flailing.
