I voted for casual, though from reading the thread I think the term was maybe poorly chosen. For example, certain games I play almost daily, so I could be considered a fairly dedicated gamer in that regard. Other games are just for relaxation and fun. However, I have no interest in playing at a competitive level or becoming professional in any manner, so that counts me out of the second category.
I agree that perhaps a middle-ground option would have been good, perhaps even more:
Social
Casual
Dedicated
Hardcore
Competitive
Professional..
Anyway, this isn't about being classified as just one type or another, it's about choosing which of the OP's two chosen groupings describe you most well.
By his definition, I count as a Casual gamer.
