My only meh about the achievements is making some of the posts have 1/3 of a page just white when someone writes just one line - aka scrolling like mad to read all the posts.

Good point...wonder if they can narrow it down or make it a drop-down in the way the Rank and Stats are...or would that just sorta hide it forever (who clicks there?) defeating the point entirely....

I do notice theres a nice solid gap to the right of the avatar...unless thats browser dependent

This is actually not a bad idea at all, but will make for some heavy duty admin from the Grand Poobah and his minions. But I do like the idea.

Also, can we start suggesting some achievements?

On an old forum i used to frequent many moons ago, we actually had a full on trading card game (hearthstone style), all the active users had their own card with an ability, related to their forum personality, and there used to be forum based card battles.

It was one guy who made all the cards so it must have been quite a bit of work to do though.

Is everyone starting from scratch or will the system backdate previous stats and unlock achievements , I am a bit of an achievement whore myself

I'll create a new thread in the announcements subforum for that, where I'll try and explain the stuff the system can measure.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Maybe I can turn off some stuff like the rep meter and mentions counter to save some space? I'll see if the system lets you store all medals in one box, or if the three different boxes will be a fact of life.

That was part of the reason for this test. It starts tracking from the moment you set up the achievement, it doesn't back-date.

I don't see a problem with that per se but if there are any for say reaching 1000 posts or something like that will it skip it and then trigger when you reach say 2000 for a new achievement ?

It'll start counting from the moment I create the achievement. So it won't trigger when you hit X thousand posts, but once you've hit 10/100/1,000 posts from the moment the achievement was created.

That's based off this single test I've conducted, of course.
