It's a little underwhelming. I think the excitement of daily and flash sales really helped liven it up.

However I prefer the new structure. I haven't been home over the weekend so I didn't have to stress about missing an insane special on something I really wanted. I can be at peace knowing I can pick it up any time till the 4'th.

Problem is that the discounts are quite underwhelming this year. In the past you could pick up killer deals on relatively new games. Now they hover around the 25-30% discount mark.

Another problem I see is everyone's burgeoning Steam libraries. Chances are you already own most of the games you really want. Just browsing through the Featured list shows how many games (at good prices) I already own. It now takes real effort to find a gem at a good price if it wasn't in my wishlist yet.

True, for instance I own a crapload of games. However... I've got 249 games in my wishlist. But because I've got so many games I'm inclined to not buy any more. Because I'm subscribed to the Humble Monthly bundle and Games with Gold so that's already more games per month than what I can get to.

I also appreciate that they allow discount on bundles for games you already own. This is very nice for people (like myself) who like to complete a franchise set or collection.

Too many sales, not enough time to game.

How unhappy can I be when I bought 3 games? Not at all... Still wish Witcher 3 was cheaper!
