signed up with afrihost's 5gb package today. Took less than an hour to get disconnected from Helkom and connected to Afrihost. Just waiting for uncapped to become available then, woop!

BTW. 384kbps will only allow you to (at the very most) download 100GB per month. So if you're not being naughty and downloading 24/7 they won't cut you off.

a 384kbps line will allow you a maximum of 100gb per month. So I'll be safe

hahaha... webafrica are looking sillier and sillier. There recent excuses are looking more and more absurd.

I think afrihost deserves credit for having been the company who really started all this... although mweb was also a bolt out of the blue.

Thank goodness for afrihost. Their packages look so tempting guyz but I think we should wait for the price war to cool down. lol Maybe we will get 4mb ads for R150 uncapped

AfriHost's R29/gig was awesome...but MWeb's R219 for uncapped is quite incomparable lol. I mean if you think about it, 100Gb would cost you R2900/month on AfriHost's R29/gig offering.

MWeb really shook up the market!

A theoretical limit of 100Gb, you say?

Getting anywhere close to that figure must take quite some doing.
I had to let myself go to make full use of the 10Gb WA gave me last year
to try to test their new network.

I guess that one could download a few demos and spend time on Youtube, but that doesn't leave much time for
anything else:work, for example or time to play the demos and try out whatever else one might have downloaded.

I don't think that an uncapped account is a invitation to go wild and grab as much as one can, only a means to
use the resources the internet has to offer without having to worry about watching every last kilobyte.
