youtube speed settings

I've recently taken to watching videos with talking at 1.25x speed, got the idea from some TEDx talk. There really isn't a discernible difference. But it goes slightly faster. Even tried at 1.5x but don't try that with fast talkers the difference there is detectable.

The only thing is that I had to set my sample rate to 24 bit, 96000Hz in speaker properties for the sound to come out smoothly else the webpage would freeze and you would have jangly sound.

So does anyone else listen to anything with modified speed settings? It really helps with some people who naturally talk slowly.

haha, I am not falling for that one again, fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice...why the hell did it fool me the first time!

Seriously though, I am in two minds about it, one you get more info and pass alot of useless stuff quickly, but on the other side, everything is already such a rush...this just adds to it. But still, good idea, will try it out just for kicks.
