Why is gender mentioned every time a girl gamer gets interviewed? I wonder what it would be like if every male was interviewed the same way.
"How does being a male gamer change things for you?"
Well being stereotyped as emotionless and not safe around children, really makes it hard when I want to inspire the younglings into gaming. The skimpy dressed promotional females are a massive distraction at events. But I suck it up because I care more about competing and kicking butt than whining about sexism.

But lo and behold, when I'm ever interviewed for gaming, I'll be armed with a list of questions that's usually asked in girl-gamer interviews and I'll insist on having them asked.

That awkward moment ( in grade 7) when some of my male classmates accused me of lying when I told them how many games I had completed... o_O I've been playing video games since before I even attended primary school. Thank you, my dear brothers
It's a good thing you normally can't tell who just knifed you after an epic rampage with a massive kill count, or what gender they are

Didn't know there was a difference between “Girl Gamer” and a “Gamer who also happens to be a girl”.
Girl Gamer is shorter to write.
