Planetside 2 is like a free, futuristic, open-world Battlefield.
Not really free-to-play, but you'll be able to grab CS:GO for dirt cheap during the next Steam sale, and it's definitely worth it if you prefer highly competitive games.
Also, Battlefield 2142 is now free-to-play if you're feeling nostalgic.
