Oh here's the thread I was looking for!

Planning on getting me the 1070, GTX970 already sold a few weeks ago so no pc gaming until this reaches SA!

OC'ing this baby a bit should bring the performance just under that of a 1080, very close.

    Looking forward to SA pricing..

    You're looking at around R10 000 for a 1070.

Am I the only one getting quickly tired of Mygaming articles putting "insane" "incredible" and "shocking" in every frikking article headline? I immediately have a negative bias towards the article before I've even clicked it

if everything is insane, nothing is.

lol I don't mind it all that much..what I do mind is the posting of this without a rumor tag.
The original source for this benchmark is one of those clickbait tech sites.

But insane was if it were either 3x the performance of the 1080 at this price...or the other way round, if it was performing the same as an old X1800 ATI and 1080 pricing....there is nothing "insane" in this article, nor is the word even mentioned IN the article

    yea i'm grumpy, leav'me alone!

Luckily I can wait for the 1060 or 1060ti to arrive, as the 970M in my laptop is more than enough for what I currently need (1080p at high/ultra averaging around 40-50fps). The 1060 will be a suitable replacement for the R9 280x that's in my desktop currently.

Some benchmark scores from Tom's Hardware that they managed to do at Computex. Who wants to buy a slightly used GTX980?
