Flying robot taxis to begin trials this year

A drone that can transport humans has been given the go-ahead to carry out trials in the US.

I find this interesting.

I remember Fifth Element and the flying taxis. Beyond 2000 (A program about the future [in the 80's] and a bit like Popular Mechanics) already talked about this and I believe the first flying car was already done in the 60's?

The only thing that stopped production apparently is the fact that it is not practical and never will be. There will never be enough space for a family and now you have to content with below and above as well and not just front, back, left and right.

Never say never - here is probably the first of many...until the novelty wears off?

Who knows - my father still courted my mother with horse in the 50's to what we are driving today. They had gramophone players as children - try and put that in your pocket! Cars became more 'affordable' to the common man and most people own one or more. Who knows what your child might live to see...
