KickassTorrents is now one of the biggest sites in the world but it's not for the obvious reason you think.

So what exactly is the not obvious reason here? Is it supposed to be the issues that Pirate bay had, because I thought that was the obvious reason. That is exactly when KAT got popular, when TPB was not available or had issues.
