Angry Fifa online, is it slow for anyone else? PS3

Just wondering here, but whenever I TRY to play fifa online I always get 1 bar and heinous latency. this completely ruins the gaming experience. I know its because 90% of the ppl I land up randomly playing online are from Europe.

So is there a group of local players that play often? surely the lag cant be bad then.

Why not look on www.ps3za.co.za for local players

No matter what you do, you will have lag when going into the lobby to find games, I know the guys over at the 360 forum organize matches and tourney's on a regular basis so I imagine as viking has mentioned that you will find a group on ps3 forum as well.

Yeah that is pretty much the case with Fifa online in SA. You need to do your move a few seconds before you plan on it so it can work in the game hopefully when iour lines become faster and our uploads speeds increase online gameplay will be better. But till then you just gotta bear with it.

Even if our lines become better there is still the factor of distance, unless there is a breakthrough technology that can somehow nullify the distance that data has to travel we will always have international lag. The sad reality of living at the ass end of the world.

Oops kinday forgot about that... Yes distance is also a factor. I did mention that it would become better, not brilliant. Another solution is a server for SA that way we wouldn't need to connect that far to play a game. Cause AFAIK we connect to the international server regardless if you playing a local player or not.

I haven't been getting much lag with pes 2010 on ps3, neither with fifa 10 on 360. Maybe fifa 10 on ps3 has some specific netcode issues?
