    Big is only useful if its full of interesting stuff. Endless procedurally generated content = fail.

    Not necessarily. Procedural worlds with a mission scripting engine that also randomises missions based on type, location, target, sequence of events, reward, etc would allow for quite a bit of replayability.

    Content is just filler to the world... sometimes a world can be just as grand in its design. For example, The Crew, I just love driving around in it and among the 50 or so hours I've put into the game I've barely touched the missions. To me, exploration of the world that the developers and artists have designed is reward enough. This is probably what attracts me to games like Elite Dangerous where it gets lambasted by others as not having enough content.
