Default Starcraft hd remaster reportedly incoming

Blizzard Entertainment is expected to launch a high-definition version of the original StarCraft, Korean news site iNews24 reports.

As translated by a Kotaku source, iNews24 says StarCraft HD will be announced in September, with more details to be announced during BlizzCon in November. The upgraded version of StarCraft will feature "improved graphics resolution and user interface," but will reportedly play just as the original did.

As reported by Kotaku, Blizzard's StarCraft II World Championship Series are set to conclude in Mexico City in September—so if the StarCraft HD rumors are true, an announcement at that time would make sense.

StarCraft initially released in 1998 for Windows and Mac OS, but remains popular to this day—especially in South Korea. Despite its popularity, Blizzard has not confirmed a remastered edition. At one point in time, StarCraft placed itself among the leading eSports titles. If StarCraft were to make a return, it's possible the beloved game could reclaim its top spot.

    And BAM! I'm sixteen again.

    Make it happen, Blizzard.
