I honestly found this entire debacle to be somewhat uncomfortable on the whole (I didn't comment on it because I kind of don't like coming off as a high horse kind of guy). In any case, it's difficult for me to say this was harmless fun, especially once you consider that this wasn't really a meme without a real life and face attached to it (meme isn't even appropriate IMO). And once you consider the branches it veered off into (targeting the family, adding spice to the backstory of the entire thing, etc), it played out more like a case of bullying than anything else.
