Default 3 ADSL packages gamers should check out before uncapped

3 ADSL deals gamers should consider before uncapped

Gamers should be more concerned with quality than quantity when choosing an ADSL package

If you are a gamer you shouldn't even reach 30GB a month. I think people are just abusing the system by downloading illegal torrents (Movies, games etc.) Then they want to complain about being throttled. Uncapped would have been a great offering if people weren't so greedy and started paying for products they use which would also make DRM less likely to be implemented in such a harsh way.

I still don't see how these ISP's can call these accounts "uncapped" when they actually are not. You get cut off or throttled after reaching a certain threshold, that is not uncapped. Perhaps semi-uncapped would be more appropriate for these packages currently being offered. Uncapped implies no limits whatsoever and you could download anything from 100mb to 1terabyte of data if you so wished. Not true in our case.

Good work Web Africa... Now where is the more affordable PREPAID...
    Shaped @ R70/gb
    Unshaped @ R125/gb

Still WAY too pricey. Think these may come down in the near future?

Avid how can you not reach 30GB if your a gamer?

You buy a game of steam and you use about 7-10GB for that game. (Yes I know you don't buy games each month this size just using it as an example)
So now you have lets say 10 games on your pc and each game with these day's being patch so regular, take Bad company 2 so far the patches are just over a Gig.

Then comes all the DLC that you want to get for games. Dragon age also about 2 Gigs Mass Effect also A Gig. So yeah you can reach 30GB a month. Yet other months you won't even come close to it since all the updates just happened to come out in one month.

Tinman just to correct you the axxess offer of R19 per Gig is only for a limited time, the normal price is R25.

Crzwaco, some months it might be the exception especially if you are a hardcore gamer but your typical SA-Gamer shouldn't be reaching that with browsing and game-related usage.

Like I said it won't be the same each month. It’s the exception to the rule. Most people won't beta test 20 games and buy 5 or more games from Steam/Direct2Drive each month.
Especially in SA,most people still buy their games in store as it is habit due to DSL being so expensive and some people prefer having a disc in hand approach.

I still state that. "Most usage in SA goes toward illegal downloads."
