Great, just after I bought it once it was available on backwards compatibility.

This is just a rumour. I wouldn't get too excited just yet.

Yeah. This title is really shoddy journalism. I clicked on the article because I thought the game was confirmed, which I guess was the intention.

I still have the GOTY version with the zombie expansion for PS3... Only played around 2 hours of it. Would be great if I could play it on my PS4 or PC, as the PS3 is nothing more than a Netflix / Plex device in the living room.

In "Undead Nightmare" you can tame any of the four 'special' horses that can be found in various places, which made taking care of a horde of undead a whole lot easier. If, I recall, you could also collect certain ingredients to make the ammunition explosive, which would then engulf the undead in blue flames.

The base game seemed very good and I'd like to get back to it someday, but the zombie thing just feels a bit overdone. I'm honestly tired of all the zombie games/modes/DLC that games sport the past couple of years.

I didn't like it at first either, but got into it eventually. I ended up having quite some fun. As for the amount of hours it took me to finish, I can't recall. I will add that it was quite laborious having to clear the same town of undead on numerous occasions. That's where the help of the special horses came in.
