This really makes me miss physical pinball tables...
I remember going to arcades in the late 80's and early nineties and them being quite a hive of seedy looking trench coat wearing crapheads. I loved seeing the new games but looking back, the whole experience was actually kak. spending hard earned/begged cash on damn tokens on games that you could barely pass the first level and definitely not the second level beofore having to drop more cash into it. Having okes crowd around you while trying to play in peace and just being generally bothered by strangers.
I was so happy to get a 16 bit sega and never go back to those places.
They played their part in our gaming history but seriously, may they never return.

At age 14 my bicycle got stolen outside an arcade after I was explicitly forbidden to set foot inside one.
Awkward explanations ensued.
