We are delighted to see that newcomers seem to be enjoying the game. What have you been missing, eh? Those who loved the game before the start of MyGame, are still loving it, because they love to love it.
This here is Crad Bradnats:
Born Brad Bradnats, he attended no institution of learning, didn't learn from his peers, ate whatever he wanted and meditated for up to 8 minutes a day and became cozysnuggle-champ of the damp damp stubby. In his early teens, he discovered that his vagina was not only for the peepee and decided to reassign his gender, in his mind. He changed his name to the more feminine sounding Crad and the rest is history. Sexy, sexy history.
We'll be taking one picture every time he levels up, so before the end of November there'll be 85 of 'em. Barnes & Noble will have a suitable photo album, I just know it.
When you say right at the start are you talking about when you start the game now or what the game was like when it was first released to alpha access? If it's the latter I agree completely, the level of polish this game has seen over the years is impressive! Just to highlight how much it has changed you could watch this video I recorded when I first got alpha access to the game:
So many changes. I forgot how hideous the main menu and UI used to be.Even the model for the hangman changed.
I was quite impressed by how, even when they were nearing the game's release, they went back and gave existing environments a touch up and even gave the Arkovian Ruins an entire facelift!
Yeah, I don't know what the hell was going on. It seems like these days unless you have fibre you're $417 out of luck for hosting a game and getting decent latency. I find it surprising how an old game like Warcraft 3 could host a game supporting 10 players on as little as whatever the upload speed of a 512k line was and each player would still get less than 100ms ping. Yet now with 4Mb ADSL and 512k upload speed I'm lucky if my latency ever drops below 100ms when playing. Has the quality of DSL in this country really become so bad that we can't even manage sub 50ms response times when connecting locally to each other?
Considering how many secrets this game has it pays to fully explore the entire area and even then there are parts of the game you will miss because they don't show up on the map.One such area even leads to an entire late game quest path...
Spoiler: show
WAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait WHAT! How?!! what level is that tho (And you better share more secret places!)
I will go do that tonight!
And I mean the start of the game, I have had it for almost a year now, I couldnt get into the game the first time round, now I just wanna go home and play. And I have to get some studies in.
Crad's equipment would indicate that she's a diehard eclecticist, but we all know that this is the norm for early-game ARPGs. The cool stuff come later.
She's just made an appointment with Cronley and she does not intent to be late.
I just did find this - I like it because it doesnt give away much of anything - it just helps the completionist in me stay sane.
Spoiler: show
This afternoon's Grim Dawn Beholder newspaper carries the headline: "Crad Despised by Cronley's Gang". When asked for comment, Crad apparently replied "I can't carry anymore".

The secret I posted above is the starting point for the Hidden Path and I would not recommend attempting it until you have finished the game as the bosses you face in it are extremely OP! Like they rival the final boss in terms of difficulty.
Otherwise some easier secrets in Act 1 are:

Lol I know exactly what you mean; you either wanna complete one more quest, explore one more area, level up to unlock one more skill or find one more devotion shrine to finally get that passive devotion ability, etc. Suffice to say the game is addictive.
There's also this map site: maps.grimdawn.es which I thought was really cool. But alas it hasn't been updated in a while while and is missing all the new content added after act 3.Otherwise there's always the wiki.
