Man now I really feel bad for the guys that pre-ordered. The final nail in the coffin.
Was excited for the game since it was announced and what I saw in the beta and the single player videos the game is going to be epic.
Just not for me. GG EA gg....
Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.
So base game costs what, R999? then theres confusing Ultimate/Deluxe/Premium editions all at higher various prices. And there aren't going to be local servers.
I enjoy battlefield...but anyone buying this game at this point needs to have their head examined. They also need to PM me, I have a bridge in London to sell them![]()
Wow, I hope they give the local guys that pre-ordered refunds.
T A N S T A A F L
done not getting BF1
I was going to get it later when the price dropped but no local servers and high ping can't play like that. Unless they do something like overwatch that it somehow works ( IDK how they do it but it works ) multi player gaming feels like its taking a big step backwards. i could be wrong but thats just how i feel
R900 for 200 ping in EU servers? Not a chance
I guess Telkom and MWEB can "Rent a server", like normal indivuals. Or were they paid in the past to do the hosting?
cant rent a server this is not going to be a easy battle as correct me if im wrong EA has not RSA support anymore so who do you talk to in RSA regarding EA servers
I already thought the price hike was going to affect how big the local community for this game would be and I guess now like Smokeghost said, this really is the final nail in the coffin for this game in South Africa. I'm still interested in the single player campaign but I can wait until it goes on special before I grab a copy.
Kotaku did an in-depth article which explained how the netcode in Overwatch works. You can either read the article here or watch the video below:
