Well, there is a drought going on out there....

    (games don’t release twice)
Remasterred??? GOTY editions??? Not to mention all the old games they ported and release for Xbone and PS4.

Simple solution as to what I did: Stop buying games, until they go onto specials. I won't pay these ridiculous amounts.

Yup. This is what I am doing. I have got plenty to play with my huge backlog, and if I really want something new, there is always the humble bundle. There are a couple of studios that I still support at release, but they have recently released all the games that they are going to release for a couple of years.

Luckily it is not all AAA games that are hitting the R1000 mark. A lot are still sitting around the R500-R600 mark on Steam (Tomb Raider, Hitman, Deus Ex). Seems like it is mostly EA with the crazy prices.

Still, I've also stopped buying games. I've started working through my backlog so unless there is something I "urgently" want, I'll just wait until it goes on special. My work schedule has been hectic anyway.

No guts, no glory, no brain, same story.
