Also the fact that its open source means dudes way smarter than me are creating app for it the whole time.
Omega, does the HTC phones e-mail download by itself or is it that whole push/e-mail setup? im due for an upgrade and i like the HTC but if i have to press a button for e-mail everytime id rather get the el-common blackberry.

If you are using a mail server that supports push email then pretty much any phone can do that. e.g. Gmail servers support push email, so I get my email just as fast on my 2 year old SE as I would on a BB. One minor difference is that on a non-BB phone it will chow data & cost, but its minimal. Like ~R5 per month or something.

You appear to be slightly confused about the terminology. Blackberry email = Push email. The Push part has nothing to do with pushing a button. And yes, the HTCs usually run Android, which supports push email.

oh well now i understand better... it was confusing the crappers out of me. So it will be the data cost thing thats an issue for me. i am currently getting nailed with internet surfing and FB and d/l e-mails on my current SE(which i have to press the refresh or download button)im gonna see if i can get a bold on my current contract as i dont want the Curve.
