Freelancer was legend back when it came out. I remember how absorbed I got into the game and it's story. It was a really fantastic space opera and to this day I still await a sequel or spiritual successor.
I've tried X3 and Darkstar One but neither caught my attention in the same way.
Freelancer, in the end, is the single best space sim ever to grace humanity. And Crossfire mod is awesome. Need do download it again sometime.

Haven't played it in a while - the question is: does anyone know where you can still buy it, locally? I've taken a look at my usual suspects (Zaps & Take 2), none of them have it available
I also looked for another copy but couldent find any, getting this one off of my trusty university dc++
