I do not envy folks who are tasked with researching lists like this. So many factors can't be effectively taken into account.
Hank's brother, John Green, for instance, is a New York Times best-selling author whose books for young adults recently started being made into films (The Fault in Our Stars, Paper Towns).
I would argue that although John enjoyed success before he and his brother became celebrities through YouTube, their success on YouTube has been a multiplier for John's success in bookstores around the world.
Physical copies of his books weren't even available in South Africa until after the TFiOS movie. Among many other factors, the TFiOS movie became the well-produced film that it was because the book was the smash hit, and the book was a smash hit because of John's audience on YouTube.
Ergo, I would argue that at least some portion of the income John derived from the sales of his books and movie deals is as a direct result of the videos he makes on YouTube, even if he doesn't make as much money off them directly as Hank might.
