See, I'd pad the hell out of the underside, with decent memory foam or something. Dunno what the takealot things you link use, but it actually looks as if it's a little better on the comfort front than the R3000 jobbie.
It's got those polystyrene balls in the base. So it conforms to the shape of your legs/surface you plonk it on. Just don't rip it or you'll have 1000s of the buggers everywhere.
