Thread: Flexibility of 6-pin power connectors?

Default Flexibility of 6-pin power connectors?

I recently bought a Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming that requires 2x 6 pin power connectors. When the connectors are plugged in, I can't close my case.

My question is this: is it okay to bend the 6-pin power cables, especially near the connector itself? If I bend the cable to almost 90 degrees, I would be able to close the case.

See below how the setup looks currently:

    Any help/suggestions is appreciated

Don't, over time the strain will force the soldering loose and you'll have a short or even a small electrical fire.

Rather get an adapter like this one

it's not ideal either way, but at least you will not be putting extra stress on the connectors.

Cut a hole in the case and make it look like a Subaru bonnet scoop. Might get some extra power.
