Homefront: The Revolution
Haven't played any game that I would say is the worst game of the year, but I was kinda looking forward to Homefront: The Revolution, as I enjoyed the first one. Homefront: The Revolution just seemed like such a pile of shit that I didn't even pick it up
Homefront: Revolution actually seemed quite decent when I tried it out over the free weekend, but from what I understand there had been a great deal of changes to improve the game and how it ran so it seems to be a much better experience than when it released.
Was going to add another Homefront: The Revolution nomination, but realised that imo this really shouldn't be an award category.
The amount of effort and talent and time put into game development - whether by a huge global AAA studio or by a one-person bedroom indie - is worthy of appreciation.

GregRedd might have a point. Having just the Biggest Disappointment might be good enough.
There weren't really Aliens: Colonial Marines level issues this year. Unless we include the Digital Homicide games that were pulled from Steam?
