Default Gaming franchises - the good, the bad, and the meh

There are many gaming franchises that are out there. Some are exclusive to certain platforms while others span multiple platforms. I know that there are good franchises and there could very well be meh franchises, but are there bad franchises? Could a bad title spawn a bad franchise?

    The Good:
Age of Empires - ah the nostalgia
Caesar - Loved building cities prefer this over simcity
Dirt - I love the handling in those games
XCOM - Its great I really should have played more of it

    The Bad:
Homefront - just didn't like it, it could have been implemented so much better

    The meh:
Battlefield - I just stopped caring about it.
    Uncharted - I don't have a console
Call of Duty - having played any of the titles for a long long time

I'm sure that there are even franchises that I haven't even considered or know about.

Anyone will tell you I love the Soulsborne franchise. But I do have my reservation on some:

    The Good
Demon & Dark Souls and Bloodborne franchise
    Forza & Horizon franchise

    The Bad
    Any game Digital Homicide touches

    The Meh
    Bioshock
    Mass Effect
    Dead Space
    Assassins Creed

The Good : Mass Effect Hopefully Andromeda will continue the trend.

The Bad : Most of the these early releases , COD, Battlfield.

    The Meh: Far Cry series

I am having trouble playing single player games lately, they don't engage me as much as a good mp game.

Although I must get around to playing Witcher.
