Almost 30, with a wife and child. Child is 18 months now. And thought for sure my gaming days would be over.
The only thing that happened was in those 18 months is that I have a beast of a PC and started playing a bit more OW than CSGO.
My gaming days will never end. I am a Geek at heart and it will remain that way forever

Solitude I have to agree with what you said about reading... A game to me is as good, if not better, than a good book... I dont think anyone can say reading is time better spent than playing a game...

Gonna game until end of days, age is just a number just like a level that climbs as you progress. It should not be the limit for anything

The financial problem comes in when you want to stay uptoo date with latest hardware and such, when it's not necessary to upgrade.

No, I dont see my self giving up gaming. It relaxes me and I love the experiences and adventures, doing stuff that I will never do or is impossible to do. Plus with my son, its something we do together. I'm not a huge spender, I dont upgrade very often and very seldom buy games on launch.

35 and still gaming stronger than ever.

I thought I was done, thought my last GPU upgrade would be my LAST gaming upgrade.

But I've actually gotten more in to games. Started investing into gaming mouse and keyboards and they give me the edge my aging gaming body lack.

I have moments where I sometimes wonder if I'm wasting my life and should rather spend the time learning a new language, or a new skill, or something else which society deems as "productive". But on the flip side, I don't drink or smoke or have any other vices. This is my form if escapism. Some ppl watch tons of movies and series. I play games.

The only major hurdle is trying to juggle time. Wife and two kids.

I've always maintained that it's all about balance. I love gaming, always have since the first time I ever saw a "tv game". But my life is not all about gaming - I have a fulfilling job, a wife and kids, 2 degrees.

I know that I will continue gaming - I think my Steam games list has grown so much that if I didn't by another game I would still have enough to play for the rest of my life (especially if I keep playing CSGO most of the time)

Leaning towards 40. Aside from my girlfriend, gaming is just about the only thing I care about. The only thing that may change over time is the type of games I'm into.

Recently turned 33 and between running a business and giving the family their due time, gaming is what I love. I don't have much spare time though (around 5-8 hours a week), but I wouldn't spend it on anything other than gaming. I have enough stress during the day (and evenings) and my wife understands I need that time to unwind and gather my thoughts.

On the spending side, I spend very little on gaming. I tend to buy games that are packed with content (Witcher 3, Diablo 3 and DriveClub) that take a long time to complete, or I wait for huge specials before I buy games. I haven't bought a AAA game on launch in years... Most of my funds go to upkeep of the property and paying off our cars, so there's that to consider as well.

41 in a few weeks.
I don't see myself stopping any time soon. It's keeping me off the streets so I guess I'm doing it more as a public service than anything else.
Juggling work, family and gaming used to be tough but I realized that if I installed steam on my work laptop and download my games at home, the boss won't notice if I sneak in 7 or 8 hours a day between coffee breaks.
As for family, I'll break a cup or plate and then blame Kid44. I can then ground her because she broke it and "lied" to me when she said she didn't. I'll then tell her not to come out of her room until she's learned to behave. The wife is much easier to keep out of the way: I just make sure she always has a backlog of Grey's Monotony and other so-called "medical" dramas.
Problem solved. Game on.
One day, I'll grow up and become responsible.
Probably not today.
