I'd suggest you rather slow down than "stop". I see no particular need or benefit in going cold turkey. e.g. I haven't played anything in a month & haven't bought a game in like 3 months. But considering finishing SC2 this weekend. Maybe.
Yeah new games are crazy - definitely wouldn't buy brand new stuff.
Seems very heavy. Not spending that in a year.
Kinda depends on your financial position & income as well. 3k out of a 50k budget is a different ballgame than out of a 15k budget.
Other thing I did was get rid of the whole completion mindset. Played like an hour of farcry 2 - decided it's sht and left it. On the other hand I've replayed stuff I did like.
Also think it's a matter of balance. Bit of everything. Reading, Gaming, exercising, meditation etc. I made the 24/7 gaming mistake in my youth...bad plan.
