NVIDIA said that GTX 1080 Ti will boost up to 1582 MHz, but overclocking potential is up to 2 GHz. Interestingly, the GTX 1080 Ti has higher memory bandwidth than TITAN X Pascal, due to faster memory at 11 GHz. This in combination with 352-bit memory bus, gives 484 GB/s of maximum theoretical bandwidth.

On the outside, the new card features the same cooler design as GTX 1080, but under the hood, it has more advanced power section with 8-pin and 6-pin power connectors and TDP around 250 W.

NVIDIA announced that GTX 1080 Ti will cost 699 USD, after GTX 1080 received a price cut to 499 USD. This new enthusiast-class graphics card will be available next week, but I wouldn’t expect custom cards to be available that soon.

This creates an interesting shift in the market. Buyers interested in a GTX1070 will now be looking at the 1080, and 1080 buyers can look towards the 1080Ti. Nvidia also announced GTX1060's with the newer GDDR5X memory.

I also wonder if the price drops will be as effective here locally, we can only wait and see.

Reviews are out for the 1080 Ti.

It is almost double the speed of the 980 Ti, which is crazy. It is also quite a bit faster than the 1080 and beats the Titan X (Pascal) in almost all benchmarks. It is also available to board partners unlike the Titan X (which was only sold as a Founders Edition by Nvidia themselves) so we can expect to see even faster 1080 Ti's soon, as the Founders Edition runs into its thermal limit well before hitting its peak power draw.,4972.html

The release of the 1080 Ti is great for one reason: price drops on the 1070 and 1080!
