Thread: What GFX card to buy?

  1. #1

Question What GFX card to buy?

My mate wants to buy a new GFX card. I thought I would get some advice. Any brand would do either ATI or Nvidia. His budget is around R2000

    Thanks

I would say a 5770, but if he can stretch his budget a little, go for a 5850, best value for money. You can pick them up for between R2800 and R3200

Thanks Guys. I think my mate will probably stretch his budget and settle for the 5850.

Hey I am considering a 5850 as well - but the one I am keen for is -> http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/pro...ducts_id=43638

    That is the Sapphire Toxic Edition Radeon HD5850 16xPCIE 256-bit 1GB DDR5 w/HDMI + 2DVI + DP.

My current specs are AMD 64 Bit 4600+, 3 GB DDR 800 Mhz, Gt 220. Will i need an upgrade on my processor and MOBO and RAM as well? Preparing for the full experience of Starcraft 2.
