I'm so tempted to save and get a Thread ripper project going. Don't really need it but want it so bad. From what I hear, the thread ripper CPUs will require a R7k ASUS MB.

It's a pity these CPUs will be a tough sell due to the lack of any integrated graphics; unless an OEM machine with a Ryzen Pro & discrete GPU is priced competitively enough that the difference in price would be a moot point.
