I decided to replay the Director's Cut this time round and I am finally beyond the point where I left off playing back in 2011.

Having much more fun this time generally not worrying too much if I alert the guards, or kill them with turrets, bots, or my maxed-out typhoon system. Last time I tried to go nonlethal and I remember it being very frustrating.

I didn't think having two energy cells regenerate would make such a big difference, but being able to use augments more freely is more fun.

From the two bosses I've faced, I noticed the "Director's Cut" additions to fight them using your non-shooty abilities, but it felt like you had to go very far out of your way to do it.

This time round it feels like I'm noticing the story told through PDAs and e-mails, as well as the environment a bit more and it's really cool! Besides the interesting stories told in text, I noticed for the first time that Jensen has a hobby... and that he is (or used to be) a smoker.

In Hengsha there is also a trashed server/computer room with some credits in a safe that kind-of lets you infer that story yourself.

Just over 20 hours in, and I've really got into it now.
