    The Southern African Federation Against Copyright Theft (SAFACT) has reportedly issued ISPs with a request to block numerous piracy sites.

    The only one I know from that list is thepiratebay.

    I know of pirate and eztv, never heard of the rest.

    Interestingly enough, availability seems to drive modern piracy. I know of many people who have stopped downloading episodes of things that they can get on netflix. It is so much easier. Of course, those same people still download things that they cannot get on our severely emaciated South African Netflix lineup.

    There is a message in that to the big distros. If they want to make piracy have less impact on their bottom line, give people what they want now, not in 2 years time when the rest of the world have already forgotten about the hype.
