    Well with sales figures like this, Splatoon 2 sold 670,955 units within first three days in Japan, it's no surprise.

    I did see this morning that nintendo underestimated the demand for the switch.

    Yeah it's really been in short supply in some places.

    The Switch has been selling extremely well for Nintendo, and honestly, I don't blame them for underestimating sales performance of the console. The Wii U wasn't very well received, and never really got any good sales numbers. The Switch was a departure from tradition, another big risk for the country, plus Japanese businesses are much more conservative than western companies. It's really good that Nintendo is making a killing with the Switch. The potential of the console is tremendous. And next year we'll get the virtual console with older games and stuff, which is going to make it a must have console. So don't think the shortage is going to be alleviated any time soon.
