The Switch has been selling extremely well for Nintendo, and honestly, I don't blame them for underestimating sales performance of the console. The Wii U wasn't very well received, and never really got any good sales numbers. The Switch was a departure from tradition, another big risk for the country, plus Japanese businesses are much more conservative than western companies. It's really good that Nintendo is making a killing with the Switch. The potential of the console is tremendous. And next year we'll get the virtual console with older games and stuff, which is going to make it a must have console. So don't think the shortage is going to be alleviated any time soon.
