Problem with getting the house in Witcher 3 is its part of the DLC content which is more a "end game" thing.
If you enjoy being more methodical in RPG's have you had a look at Divinityriginal sin, it isometric turned based and extremely strategic , I loved it so much, cant wait for 2.
Witcher 3 was one of my best games ever. Played every side quest I could find and all the DLC. If you haven't played it, it's well worth it. Blood and Wine would have been a great game by itself.
RPG recommendations?
I recently started playing this on PS4. I was skeptical about the control scheme at first, but it feels utterly natural using the DS4 controller. The game itself is also great, with a lighter atmosphere than most RPGs and surprisingly fun combat. The voice acting is really entertaining and I don't find myself skipping dialogue as often as I do in other RPGs.Originally Posted by B1nary

Pillars of Eternity might work, the home base is pretty big and there are a lot of side quests to keep you busy. The "carry limit" is pretty much non-existent here but you do need to upgrade the home base and defend it for extra bonuses and so on...
Dark Souls series as well.
