    Default RPG recommendations?

Ok so after this months epic MyGame of Deus Ex HR ( for my 4th playthrough or so) I have been viciously bitten by the
    rpg bug.
Im actually looking for an openworld rpg where you can have a homebase as well as a weight limit to carryable items. Like all the Bethesda games. I love how it's almost essential to have a house or outpost where you can collect items and rest etc.
but Im tired of Skyrim and Fallout :/

I have tried the First Risen but it wasn't so great and now Im playing Gothik 4 which is ok but not 100% what Im after.

    Thanks!

Maybe try Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain

Yes. You not only have "home base", but MOTHER base. The bit I played of it wasn't all that big on looting though, but you do get collect a bit of resources to advance research and built out mother base.

Think it falls under FPS RPG, so kindof, but not a pure breed you could say.

Yeah, this is a solid option.

Alternatively, have you considered Dragon's Dogma?

It's not going to be a popular opinion but I loved all 3 of them...

    Dragon Age!

The lore in those games are outstanding. All 3 games play very differently but I enjoyed them so much. And there's a new one being developed!

I second this. I don't know why there are so many other options being presented when this is clearly the right answer.

ah I see you do get a house in Witcher 3 Blood and Wine.

There is something so cool about having a home or shelter in RPG's. Like in Fallout New Vegas, it's almost essential on hardcore mode to have a location where you have supplies, ammo and weapons stored for your various excursions. As well as a place to retreat to for rest and healing. Skyrim and Fallouts are true rpg experiences in that regard.
I love Witcher 3 and having to prep potions for missions etc. having a 'witcher place' where all the ingredients, armours etc could have been stored was lacking I felt but made sense gameplay wise to have chests at inns etc. because of there nomadic nature.

Glad to hear you have a witcher manor now

Good tip on MGS V, def going to get that soon! thanks!

I also have Dark Arisen on PS3 but I havent given it a fair chance to be honest.
