Greetings all. My pc packed up 2/3 weeks ago, thanks to load shedding disguised as power outages, but fortunately my insurance is paying me out. So I have roughly R25K to buy a whole new system as the insurance is keeping everything from my old pc. So I checked Rebeltech (where I had bought and built my last pc for 13K +-5/6 years ago) and loaded up parts for a complete new pc that I was going to build it myself. A friend then recommended Evetech (He has not recently bought from there) and I was shocked at the the custom pre-built computers prices. I know every pc shop is going to have its issues but some of the reviews on HelloPeter are not very appealing. From multiple reviews for bad after sale service to rude stuff talking to customers like shit, is not somewhere I want to invest my money in when 6 months down the line if have an issues. Has anyone bought a custom pc from them recently that is willing to share their experiences and or recommend a sales consultant to deal with? Once my money clears I am planning on going to the evetech store and hopefully speak to someone that can convince me to stay with them. I have checked with Titan-Ice and the prices cannot come even close to what Evetech has in my current custom build I am considering. There website is offline at the time of writing this but when it is running again I will post my current custom rig.
EDIT: I have found a post over on My broadband and have read enough to change my mind and not go with Evetech... Back to the drawing board.
