I was surprised to see the market share of Sharemax in South Africa. I would've expected higher market share amongst streamers in SA as it has local content no other sharing service can provide. I guess a strategic move to inflate those numbers are probably to give it to all DSTV customers. That or there are so much overlap in markets (which I would assume is highly likely) that Showmax won't really benefit from it too much, but DSTV adds to its value proposition.
