Nothing is safe in the digital age. As great as Denuvo's team is, there are far more capable people out there, who are doing this just for fun.
It's eventually going to become one of three things:
- Always on-line DRM mutiplayer/hybrid titles akin to Blizzard.
- Multiplayer only titles, which require an original copy to play. PUBG, Overwatch, R6 Seige which will then attempt rake in money via additional purchases.
- The final option is just to go DRM free, like CDPR. However, CDPR actually keeps their promises and delivers an amazing title. Witch 3 despite being DRM free still sold more copies on PC than both Xbox and PS4.
