Great article!! Something I was hoping to read somewhere.

The Xbox One X is an upgrade purchase, very similar to the upgrade that PC gamers would do on their machines. The thinking behind whether or not you buy a new GPU to upgrade your old GPU is very similar to they choice you face in upgrading to the Xbox One X. There are a few factors to take into consideration, but ultimately you are going to play the same games, with a bit better performance and prettier graphics. So, the same question you ask here about is the Xbox One X worth the upgrade, the same can be asked about upgrading your GPU.

Then there is the natural morbid curiosity of people. People like to see things fail. People like to see big hubris companies fail. The news is always full of articles like that. And this is no different. That's maybe a big statement, but I feel an accurate one. Where is the article that highlights what the Xbox One X and PS4Pro will do to resolution standards of games? Where is the more positive articles highlighting the technical genius of the vapor chamber cooling of the One X? No, we want to read up on the more negative side of life. Morbid Curiosity.

Now I know this comment has been all over the place, but let me state my opinion on the gaming situation:
The Xbox will be fine. And the internet needs to make up its mind. Is exclusive good or bad. Let me take you back to between 2010 and 2015. These years, every year all the major online gaming journalists wrote extensive pieces about console exclusivity and how it's hurting the gaming industry. How many people have lamented the fact that games are exclusive to platforms. Yet now all of a sudden exclusives are vital to the health and sales of the Xbox One X? Really? Hypocracy much?

"Oh but the PS4 is outselling the Xbox because of exclusives...". Really? The Xbox One got off on the very wrong foot due to PR disasters during the launch of the console. It failed so badly that it would never recover. Because of these numbers, Microsoft tried to add some exclusive titles to the platform. Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, ReCore, and even Rise of the Tomb Raider was a console exclusive. Yet none of them sold console unit. To the point that exclusivity for MS seemed like a waste of money and time. Why would you spend all that money on development if the game isn't gonna sell well?

And now we all ask where are all the console exclusives? The answer is not that difficult.

Is the lineup good enough to sell new consoles? Absolutely!
