The past week in gaming has been dominated by news about EA and Star Wars: Battlefront 2. The microtransactions scandal has really been the biggest gaming news of 2017 perhaps. Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty went free to play during the week
Going completely under the radar in the wake of the EA backlash, Starcraft 2 first episode/edition/chapter went free to play. You can download the game now and play for free.
New Stardey Valley content is on the way, alongside multiplayer
The beloved indie darling revealed that new single player content is on it's way alongside the multiplayer content. I personally cannot wait for this to happen, and will gladly jump back into the game. No word yet on what the single player content is, however, with only a lonely picture of a strange boat being shared by the developer...hmmmm.
Battlerite has breached the 1 million player mark
The team arena brawler has certainly gotten a jump in popularity this past 2 weeks, breaking the 1 million player mark. This free-to-play game is certainly on a charge as gamers online gaming habits change.
