So in between carrying washing machines and fridges I had to wait a hour so I decided to fire this puppy up, so far after playing like 15min with a mouse and then another 30min with a controller i’m going to say controller is better, just btw in case you were wondering.
So I actually did start playing this weekend. Finished the tutorial and stole the food back for the first village. There is a really strong Lord of the Rings vibe in this game.

I have been lost quite a bit already in game, no map is tough and new pathways are easy to miss.
The game has really opened up now that I have the red minions and you can control minions in squads later on and issue guard orders.
A tad complex at first but control scheme is quite great on gamepad.
Im interested to see how many minions you can get at once, my limit is 15 now and it's pure carnage!
So, the game is good, love it so far. A couple of things though:
1. My minions are particularly squishy. Perhaps it’s just me and my playing style, but yeah my minions died several times. They even died against sheep
2. I encountered a game breaking bug. I found the green minions and green hive. So I cleared the ENTIRE cave they were in, but the damn minions didn’t want to move the hive at all. I had 10 minions trying to carry them, but nothing. I just rage quitted out the game.
Started the game yesterday.
Got past Melvin. Now need to figure out where the Entrance to the Elven Forest is.

It's nearer to Spree. To the west I think. Hard to tell direction without compass and map, something the game sorely lacks.
