When I double click on the desktop icon to start the game, I get the "busy" mouse pointer for a second or two, after which it returns
to normal.
When I try compatibility mode, Windows tests it under those settings and returns the message "Incompatible Application"
To the best of my knowledge, my copy of Windows 7 is up to date.
I may try running it under WINE in Ubuntu

Remember the full game is riddled with bugs. So I suspect there the demo itself is just broken.
I am doing well at the moment. My characters are strong and I must admit the bard is amazing.
I did not play it before, but got the link from this thread, and will play it.
Bard's are ALWAYS amazing!
Will load this game up when I have the time. But may be a while.

Wow I am actually doing well in the temple. I hate ghasts though. They get to attack 3 times and have a huge chance to cause paralysis to you:-/
