Best Thing Ever: Gears of War 3 Beast Mode

So it’s pretty much the world’s worst kept secret that I’d have Gears of War’s babies if I could. I also stopped thinking about it pretty much the moment I started, because the words “emergence hole” suddenly took on an altogether too appalling prospect. Frag out.

So anyway, Gears of War 3 is getting an all-new Beast mode, previewed over at Joystiq. It’s basically an inverted version of Gears of War 2’s Horde mode, where this time, you’re strapping on your Locust stuff and making COG hotdogs. Enemy Gears become increasingly tougher with each successive wave, both in terms of weapon loadouts, as well as tactics. Oh, and they’re also packing Hammers of Dawn.
