Leaked Windows 8 details

Thanks for the news Tinman. Nice to see you're on top of current events as usual.

I don't think Windows 8 is such a big deal anymore since Windows 7 is really a good and stable OS. Remember the days when people were still using Windows 98 (some had the ME version ) so when XP was announced it was a REALLY big deal because people needed the new features. Same with Vista...people NEEDED the reliability that they didn't have with Vista.

Now that we have Windows 7; it's reliable, it's got lots of toys and features....so Windows 8 really isn't that "needed" making it a bit of a Moo-point. (It's like a cow's opinion - doesn't matter).

Hence why they are happily trying to rename the variations of the OS's to attract the n00bz who don't know about windows 7:p

MS did such a good job with Windows 7 that this does not really excite me

Exactly. I'm happy with Windows 7 to the point of another OS hardly exciting me at all. They're going to have to pull something ground breaking out of their hat design-wise to get me all giddy. W7 is sleek, easy to us and stable...all I could ask for.

Though, the Kinect support does sound like fun.

It's stupid if you ask me. Just like cars. Back in the day New models took years to come out, now every year your car has a facelift or comepletely new model comming out. Check the Golf 6 for example. Wasn't even in the country yet but spy-shots allready snapped up the Golf7 Being tested :| Its a big Moneymaking machine this. Same with OS's, games etc.
