    wug.za.net

    Welcome to Wug.za.net

Wug.za.net is a South African community based site geared toward a community based wireless network world.

WUG - Stands for Wireless User Group. Here you will be able to find a way to connect to a WUG nearest to you or even start your own.

The price of equipment to connect to a WUG is affordable and is very easy to setup, anyone can participate.
All equipment is standard with often just a different operating system, operating under 802.11 standards

Joining and setting up your node is more a learning experience than a chance to leech files, you will learn a lot...

The WUGS listed on here are used for non-profit and are merely an infrastructure for people to exchange information and data and play games.

The goal of wug.za.net is to integrate all the WUGs around the country and potentially link them together in the future.

REGISTER AND SEE IF YOU CAN CONNECT TO THE WUG CLOSEST TO YOU!!
Check out the GETTING STARTED guide if you are unsure about anything

Depends where you get it from. I just read on their site, they recommend joining the IRC channel and asking guys on there what current prices are like.

If anyone finds out a rough estimate please post it here.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like it might be a fun little hobby to set up. I'll be doing some investigation in the mean time.
