ja the 460's are akin to the 6600GT's and 8800GT's, massive performance for their price point, even more so in SLI

yes man. i am making a trip from Cape Town. haha. But i have to go there in any case. So the cards are gonna cost me R1400 (for ticket to Jo'burg) and the cost of the cards. Haha. I am really looking forward to my first SLI setup now. Anything special i need to know with that setup?

I didn't check the date on your first post :P
I have a GTX280 now and makes the capacitors on my PSU scream like 3 year old girls. Getting sick and tired of it now a days... So if the 460's are quiet enough i'l definitely upgrade.

well my experience with sli is as follows.
uninstall all gpu drivers, run driver cleaner if needed, install both cards, hook up sli bridge, power on, install drivers then enable sli from nvidia control panel.
that's how did it, dunno if things changed recently
also a 280 for physx is overkill...
